Police are investigating a triple murder that occurred in Wells Estate in Gqeberha on Wednesday.
Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said the case is being investigated by the provincial serious and violent crimes unit following the shooting in Dwarha Street in Elephant Park informal settlement at around 11 am.
She said when members from Swartkops police arrived on the scene they found a bullet-riddled green Ford Fiesta up against a lamp pole between the shacks.
Janse Van Rensburg said three victims, aged between 23 and 32, were found inside the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, while a fourth male was found wounded outside the car and rushed to hospital.
She said the names of the deceased will only be released once they have been identified by the next of kin.
Police are also appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the murders to contact the investigating officer Lieutenant-Colonel Monde Sitole 082 457 2812 or Crime Stop on 08600 1011 or the nearest police station.
