Three arrested for copper cable theft in Buffalo City

Buffalo City Municipality says three people were caught red-handed stealing copper cable.

Spokesperson, Keith Ngesi, says the arrests were made possible through the quick action of a forensic investigator from the the Municipality's Revenue Protection Unit.

He also says that the unit was assisted in making the arrest by city police as well as members of the SAPS's non-ferous unit as well as the dog unit.

The suspects are due to appear in court soon.
