Gqeberha police have arrested a third suspect in connection with the attack on an Atlas security official last month.
The security guard was assaulted and robbed of his firearm by three men before they went on a crime spree throughout the city, killing one person, wounding another and robbing students.
Two suspects are already in custody and have made their first court appearances.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the suspect was one of four arrested on Thursday after a man was robbed of his personal belongings in Central.
She says police also confiscated two replica firearms in their possession.
The men aged between 19 and 28 are expected to appear in court on Monday.
