Ten drunk drivers have been arrested along Cape Road in Gqeberha on Friday.
The arrests were a result of a joint operation by the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro police and Kabega Park SAPS.
Acting Commissioner Advocate Andrew Moses issued a stern warning as the Metro has zero tolerance for drunk driving.
He said more joint operations and high visibility on the Metro's major routes will continue throughout the weekend.
The drivers are all being detained at the Kabega Park Police Station and are expected to appear in the Magistrates Court on Monday.
