Western Cape police arrested a 56-year-old man and seized cocaine valued at R900 000 during an operation on the N2 at Plettenberg Bay on Tuesday.
Sergeant Chris Spies said members were conducted a roadblock near the Tsitsikamma toll gate when K9 unit members pulled over and searched a vehicle.
He said they found 1.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed inside the vehicle.
The suspect is due to make his first court appearance in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrates' court on Thursday on a charge of dealing in drugs.
Western Cape Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Thembisile Patekile welcomed the arrest.
