A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of Pinnacle Point resident 79-year-old Marietha Willemse.
Willemse and her husband Johannes were attacked and stabbed in their home on the estate in June this year.
Marietha's body was discovered in a chair with a knife wound to her neck while her husband survived the ordeal.
The murder sent shockwaves through the town of Mossel Bay as the internationally recognised golf estate is known for its state-of-the-art 24-hour security.
In August, police identified a suspect from Lesotho and a few days later offered a reward.
The suspect Clement Siabata Kholoane's fingerprints were found at the murder scene.
He has been on the run since the murder and was arrested this week in Bloemfontein.
Kholoane is expected to appear in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court on Monday where he will be charged with murder.
Police say more charges could be added.
The family's attorney Llewelyn Curlewis, who has known the couple for 30 years, said that Johannes suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Willemse was a successful farmer in KwaZulu Natal up until two years ago.
