I just want justice for my sister. Every time he did such things to us, he took away a part of our souls.
This was the plea of the 22-year-old stepson who testified against a Paradise Beach father accused of more than 700 charges, including rape, incest, and sexual grooming.
The trial is currently underway in the Gqeberha High Court.
The man in his 50s, who cannot be named to protect his children's identity, also faces charges of bestiality, the sexual exploitation of children, and the creation, possession, and dissemination of child pornography.
The State alleges that the man raped and sexually assaulted his teenage daughter over several years and would often record the acts.
His stepson has previously been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty.
He told the court that the accused exposed him and his sister, the complainant, to pornography from a young age, recalling that he started watching pornography at the behest of the accused when he moved in with his mother.
Some of the pornography he was exposed to was of women interacting with animals, the man testified.
According to the witness, the accused had intercourse with both him and his sister and instructed them to perform sexual acts on each other since he was 8 years old.
He said the accused would sometimes lock him and his sister in a bedroom for days on end and leave for work with the keys.
The court heard that the accused gave the children instructions as to different sexual positions they needed to perform ,and these acts were filmed.
Other evidence placed before the court was how the accused had made money from selling porn online and by way of hacking porn sites.
The witness further testified that he and his siblings were sworn to secrecy, adhering to a code laid down by their parents, which meant: "Whatever happened in the house stayed in the house, and no matter what, it must never be revealed to anyone."
