Nearly four years after a Gqeberha father was gunned down in his home in Rowallan Park under mysterious circumstances, police have now linked one of his sons to the crime.
Juan Kolesky, 30, will appear in the city's Magistrate's Court on Thursday in connection with Anton Kolesky's death.
The 50-year-old Anton was shot and killed on 31 August 2020 in his house in Rademeyer Street.
According to an initial police report, Anton had sent one of his other sons outside to fetch something from his bakkie.
His 19-year old son told police two unknown gunmen accosted him outside the house.
One of the men held a gun to his head and ordered him to go inside.
Anton was shot twice when he jumped up from the couch to defend his children.
He died at the scene.
Juan was arrested in connection with Anton's death in June, while he was in custody on an unrelated charge of house robbery.
The house robbery was allegedly committed at a smallholding in Greenbushes on 17 June.
On this charge, Juan is the only accused.
His co-accused in the murder charge are Dellon Makoppa,37, Kurt Bosman, 30, and Bernard Kopper, 33.
Because they appeared in court in connection with Anton's murder before his son's arrest, the case was remanded to 30 July.
Juan will appear in court again on Thursday in connection with the house robbery.
He will also make a second appearance in connection with his father's murder.
