Gqeberha police are appealing to the community for help in identifying and tracing the family of a person whose skeletal remains were found on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the remains were found in bushes along William Moffett Expressway yesterday by a bush dweller.
“The deceased was wearing a blue overall, a brown jacket, and a bandana covering one eye socket,” she said.
Naidu said another bush dweller told police that the person was known as uncle Zee and it was "rumoured" that he was from East London.
She said it is also alleged that he may have died last June or July due to illness.
Police have opened an inquest for further investigation and anyone who can assist in tracing the next of kin or may know of any person who may have been missing for a while is asked to contact SAPS Walmer.
