A well known Port Elizabeth businessman and family man Martin Slabbert has been killed in a car accident.
Slabbert, of Rainbow Bodyworks in the city, was alone in his car when it rolled overnight in the Kragga Kamma/Theescombe area.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says police came across Slabbert's body and his wrecked car at around 6 o'clock on Saturday morning.
Slabbert was an ardent rugby follower and keen golfer.
He was in his early 40's is survived by his wife and two schoolgoing children.
Van Rensburg told AlgoaFM news that an inquest docket had been opened into Slabbert's death.
