Port Elizabeth police have released the name of the elderly Kabega Park woman found murdered in her home on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says she was the 78-year-old Marlene Webber.
She was found in her home following a suspected house-breaking.
Three armed men broke into the house and tied up the 37-year old domestic worker with cable ties.
They then ransacked the home and fled with an entire safe as well as a laptop computer.
Rheeder says they are following up good leads in the matter.
However, no arrests have been made as yet.
