The 66-year-old woman who has been missing from the Louis Dubb Old Age Home in Kabega Park since the 9th of February has been found dead.
Gqeberha police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says police found the body of Bernadette January in bushes not far from the home on Monday afternoon.
She said no foul play was suspected.
Police initially reported that January had left the old age home to go to Summerstrand to look for her son who apparently lives on the streets.
Colonel Naidu said police tracked him down but he told them that he had not seen his mother.
An inquest docket has been opened and a post mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of January's death.
Colonel Naidu said at the time of her disappearance that January was a diabetic who had not taken any medication with her.
