A Port Elizabeth man is due to appear in court this week for allegedly stabbing his 26-year-old girlfriend to death.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the incident happened in Walmer Township on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Bethelsdorp police have opened an inquest docket following the death of a three month old baby.
Janse Van Rensburg says the little baby boy died at his mother's home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The cause of death is not known but no foul play is suspected.
