Port Elizbeth police are investigating the murder of a 30-year-old man in Kwazakhele last night in an apparent hit.
Captain Andre Beetge says Sinethemba Payi was shot and killed at his home in Mbilini Road, Kwazakhele, at around 9.30 pm.
Beetge says three suspects knocked on his front door and called on him to open up.
When he opened the door he was shot three times by the suspects who then fled on foot.
His 25-year-old girlfriend found him at the front door and he passed away on the scene.
Captain Beetge says nothing was stolen by the shooters and that the priority now for the investigating team is to establish the motive for Payi's murder.
