A taxi driver from Patensie appeared in court on Thursday for allegedly cramming 50 school children into his vehicle.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Gerda Swart, says 31-year-old Hyron Bruintjies was released on warning.
He is expected to enter a plea when he returns to court next Tuesday.
Bruintjies was arrested by Patensie policeman, Lieutenant Loaan Steenkamp, when he spotted Bruintjies speeding and driving recklessly on Wednesday.
He further surprised to find 50 school children, aged between six and 12, crammed into his vehicle.
Bruintjies faces charges of reckless and negligent driving and overloading.
