The self confessed middleman in the Jayde Panayiotou murder is expected to apply for bail in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Luthando Siyoni evaded police for nearly six months, after Judge Dayalin Chetty revoked his immunity for prosecution.
He was offered immunity in exchange for his testimony against Christoper Panayiotou, who is now serving a life sentence for his wife's murder.
Siyoni however recanted and was declared a hostile witness and then disappeared after his Section 204 status was revoked.
He was eventually arrested at his home in Kwazakhele by the Hawks.
The State indicated that it would be opposing Siyoni's bail application.
On Thursday Judge Chetty turned down applications by Panayiotou and two accomplices for leave to appeal their convictions and sentences.
