Christopher Panayiotou, who is accused of orchestrating his school teacher wife, Jayde's abduction and murder in April this year, is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Wednesday, together with his two co-accused, Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nenembe.
The case made a detour to the High Court in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday, after the state prosecutor in the matter, Marius Stander was served with an order to explain to a judge why the case docket should not be made available to the defence team.
Defence addvocates Terry Price and Alwyn Griebenouw want access to the docket, which they believe will assist them in preparing another bail application for Panayiotou.
He was arrested shortly after Jayde's murder and has been held at St Albans Prison ever since.
Judge John Smith is expected to rule on the matter by next Tuesday.
It's expected that Panayiotou and his two co-accused will make a brief appearance on Wednesday, with the likelihood that the matter will be referred to the High Court for trial.
