Police in Graaff Reinet are investigating a case of murder after a male nurse was found dead in his home in Bergendal. The 43-year-old Mvusi Diamond worked at the Midland's Hospital in town.

Two men made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with the murder of a Gqeberha mother. The 42-year-old Vicki Terblanche was reported missing by her boyfriend, 33-year-old Reinhardt Leach, last Thursday. He has now been charged with her murder and appeared in court alongside his co-accused, 20-year-old Dylan Cullis.

An elderly woman and a domestic worker were tied up and robbed during a home invasion in Mount Pleasant, Gqeberha, earlier on Monday, in which the house was ransacked. Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says two suspects wielding firearms hit the property in Gladys Street, Mount Pleasant, at around 8 am.

Authorities are on their way to Middelburg in the Eastern Cae where a number of trucks have been stranded for more than a day on the N10 following a protest.
