The SA Maritime Safety Authority (Samsa) is conducting an aerial survey of Algoa Bay to determine the extent of an oil spill that took place on Monday. Acting chief operations officer Captain Vernon Keller said all relevant oil spill response teams were assisting with the containment and clean-up operation.

Gqeberha police are investigating a double murder following a shooting incident in Motherwell on Monday night. Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of house robbery after a woman and her fiancé were tied up at a smallholding in Witteklip Road, in Uitenhage farms on Monday night.
