The ex-husband of a missing Gqeberha woman, Desiree Baartman, will be charged with attempted murder when he appears in court on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 42-year-old Sergeant Thomas Nemalangeni was off duty and driving in his Toyota Etios towards Jeffreys Bay on Thursday when the accident happened.
