One of the state's key witnesses in the protracted rape and human trafficking trial of Nigerian Pastor Timothy Omotoso concluded her cross-examination in the Gqeberha High Court.

The Missionvale Care Centre on Wednesday commemorated the second anniversary of the world-renowned Sister Ethel Normoyle's passing. Six people killed in a head-on collission on the N2 near Tsitsikamma on Sunday have been identified. Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the victims, all from one family were all from Kwazakhele in Gqeberha.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 27-year-old Abdul Yusuf managed to evade his arrest for almost seven months but was finally nabbed at a business in Green Street, North End last week.

The investigation into the kidnapping and murder of Hartenbos businessman Desmond Share has led to the discovery of his vehicle. Spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies says 53-year-old Share's Ford Ranger bakkie, branded with the name of his business "Gutter Guru" was discovered in Ficksburg in the Free State near the Lesotho border last week.

A suspect has been killed, one wounded and another injured when his getaway vehicle hit a horse on the road between Stutterheim and Qonce. A spokesperson for the Hawks Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana says the drama unfolded on Sunday when a multi-disciplinary Task Team pounced on the three suspects who were on their way to Stutterheim to allegedly extort money also known as a protection fee, from a foreign national's business.

Confusion reigned inside court 25 of the Gqeberha magistrates court on Tuesday during the second appearance of the man who’s alleged to have killed local physiotherapist, Marolien Schmidt. It appears 31-year-old Simxolele Zitshu not only wanted to abandon his bid for bail but had also indicated that he would plead guilty.
