The man who allegedly raped Gauteng businesswoman Andy Kawa in 2010, has abandoned his bid for bail.

Five suspects have been arrested for the shooting of a prominent East London lawyer in Vincent on Friday.

A 30-year-old man is expected to appear in court on Monday after he allegedly stole a trailer in Gqeberha that was advertised on social media. Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the complainant had the trailer specifically made, and it was, therefore, easy to identify.
