One suspect was arrested in Thembalethu in George, following an armed robbery at a jewelry store in the Garden Route Mall on Friday.
Police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies says five suspects, of which at least one was armed, entered the business at around 10:00 and threatened staff members before fleeing with a large amount of jewelry.
Spies says the vehicle in which the suspects fled the scene was seen in Thembalethu after the incident.
Police arrested one suspect and confiscated the vehicle, believed to have been involved in a hijacking in Delft in Cape Town earlier this year.
