Bail has been denied to a 30-year-old man accused of the rape and murder of teenager Jamie-Lee Julius.
Johan Counter appeared in the Great Brak River Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Jamie-Lee's body was discovered by her 20-year-old sister behind a water tank on a farm near Friemersheim on 29 January.
The teenager, who is originally from Oudtshoorn, was spending time with her parents' friends and had been living with them since last year November.
She had attended a party on the farm on the Saturday, a day before her body was found.
The case against Counter was postponed to 28 March.
