Police in Gqeberha are still searching for those responsible for the murder of 19-year-old Verushka Nel.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says Nel's murder is being investigated as a suspected hit and the investigation is now in the hands of the Gang Unit.
She says on the 17th of August, Nel was in her bedroom at her house in Booysens Park when there was a knock at her front door.
Colonel Naidu says two gunmen entered the room and shots were fired.
Nel, who was still alive, was discovered the following morning with a gunshot wound to her head and was rushed to hospital where she died.
Police confirmed that her phone was stolen from the scene.
A case of murder and house robbery is under investigation.
