A motorcyclist was killed in a horror accident on a Gqeberha freeway on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said the accident happened at around noon on the N2 towards Bluewater Bay.
She said according to information the deceased was riding a 125 cc motorcycle when he overtook a truck on the yellow line but nearly collided with a pedestrian.
Janse Van Rensburg said the unidentified man swerved to avoid the person when he was thrown from the bike, colliding with the truck. He died on the scene.
She says Swartkops police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist with the identification of the deceased to contact Swartkops police.
