The 58-year-old man from George who has been missing since last week, left all his belongings behind.

Robert Schroeder attended the bi-annual Louvian Burn Music and Arts Festival in the Langkloof Valley in Herold outside of George.

The three-day festival started on 9 August.

According to Schroeder's sister Caryn Tamari, the music festival was his happy place.

"He attends it all the time. The last time I spoke to him was on the Friday of the festival when he told me that he was making his way there. Later on, he sent me a text to say that his tent was up and that he was really happy."

Little did she know that it would be the last she heard of her beloved brother.

"I sent him a message on Saturday but he did not respond and our other brother also sent him a text, but he did not respond to it as well and that is when we knew something is wrong," she adds.

But, they held on to the hope that he would return their calls, but he has not.

"People who were at the festival saw him and interacted with him. We just don't know what happened to him."

On Monday, once all the people who attended the festival went home, only his tent was still up, with all of his personal belongings still inside.

"We are waiting for a miracle."

Tamari and the police has called for anyone who has any bit of information to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Fumanekile Nofemela, at the George Detectives office on 044 803 4715, alternatively, Crime Stop at 08600 101
