Missing EC woman's body discovered in grave

KwaMaqoma (formerly Fort Beaufort) police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a missing woman was found buried in a grave on Tuesday.

Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa says 24-year-old Zintle Takane was last seen at 9 pm with her boyfriend at Mike Valley.

She says it is alleged that Takane left with him in his white Mercedes Benz.

The 34-year-old boyfriend has since been arrested and will make his first appearance in the local Magistrates Court on Friday.

The investigation continues.
