A 39-year old man allegedly linked to an international child pornography ring has appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates Court in Johannesburg.
Women and Men Against Child Abuse, spokesperson, Germaine Vogel, says the man is believed to be linked to a syndicate that distributed shocking footage of rape, torture and the murder of new born babies.
Vogel says the man was arrested in March shortly after the South African and Belgian police arrested a Port Elizabeth couple from Westering.
The case against the Midrand man was postponed to the 17th of September.
The 33 year-old man and 22 year-old woman from Westering are also accused of being part of a syndicate that distributed images of babies being abused.
After their first appearance in April, the man told AlgoaFM News that the media was blowing the case out of proportion and did not know the full story.
He said people were judging him.
The case against the couple was postponed to the 26th of August for further investigation.
