Police in Gqeberha are investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old learner in Schauderville on Monday night.
Captain, Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said matriculant, Chadwin Witbooi, had collapsed in the yard of a house in Jameson Road.
She said he was rushed to a hospital where he died on arrival.
Witbooi had sustained a gunshot wound, but Janse Van Rensburg said no further information was immediately available from the crime scene.
A case of murder is under investigation and the motive for the shooting is not yet known.
