Man who allegedly assaulted daughter released on warning

The father of a two year old girl who allegedly brutally assaulted her and burned her with a hot object, appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates court on Wednesday.

The 21 year old man is accused of locking the toddler inside a house in Brandwag, near Mossel Bay in June this year. 

He allegedly hit her over her whole body and face after which he also assaulted the child's mother. 

The man was released on warning yesterday and must appear in court again on the 26th of this month.
