The suspect who allegedly shot the sons of a Kouga councillor made a brief appearance in the Humansdorp Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Juavandré Louw, 23, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
The State alleges that he shot and wounded Asif and Jacquin Ruiters at the Beachfront Nightclub in Jeffreys Bay on 17 March.
The Ruiters brothers were both shot in their stomachs just two weeks after their Father, Jaques Alexander, survived an attempt on his own life.
Asif was shot in his liver while the bullet penetrated Jacquin's colon.
The two incidents are seemingly not linked, according to police.
When the case resumed on Thursday, the defence requested a postponement to have consultations with the accused ahead of his formal bid for bail.
The case was remanded to 11 April for bail proceedings to get underway.
Whilst in the dock for the attempted murder charges, Louw also appeared on an unrelated charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
