Man killed in accident on N2 in George

A man was killed and another was seriously injured in an accident on the N2 in George near the Pacaltsdorp turnoff on Saturday afternoon.

According to the police, a preliminary investigation suggests that the driver of a white Isuzu bakkie lost control of the vehicle.

He was declared dead at the scene.

The bakkie was transporting cement and bricks and was on its way from Pacaltsdorp to Herold's Bay.

No other vehicle was involved.

A male passenger in the bakkie sustained serious injuries and was taken to George Hospital.
