The driver of a Ford Ranger was killed in an accident near East Coast Resorts in East London on Sunday morning.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the man lost control over the vehicle and it left the road and overturned.
He says the driver was alone at the time of the accident.
Gonubie police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
Bramwell says this brings the number of fatalities on Eastern Cape roads to eight since Saturday evening, when three accidents in the province claimed seven lives.
