One of the two men convicted of the murder of a female SANDF member in 2020, was jailed for an effective 18 years in the High Court in Gqeberha this week.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu said Vusumzi Msi, was sentenced to 18 years for the murder of 39-year-old Pumza Skade in February of that year.
He was also sentenced to a combined seven years for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, with the court ordering the sentences to run concurrently.
Skade was off-duty when her body was found in February 2020 with gunshot wounds.
At the time, she had left home to consult a sangoma, Lebohang Lekhooana, who was also convicted of her murder.
