Man found murdered in Bay home- identified

A man who was found murdered in his home in Kabega Park, Gqeberha has been identified.

Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 60-year-old Lindsay Humm was found dead on his bed on Sunday with a deep wound to his head and an axe on the scene.

She says access to the house on Van Plettenberg Street was gained by forcing open the sliding door.

It was members of Extreme Security and the Rowallan Park and AfriForum Kabega Park neighbourhood watch who apprehended two suspects in the early hours of Sunday.

The men aged 30 and 38 were found in possession of a laptop, a medicine container, cigarettes, and meat.

The suspects were handed over to SAPS who investigated further tracing the goods to the home of Humm.

The men will appear in the local Magistrates Court on Tuesday facing charges of housebreaking, murder and possession of suspected stolen property.
