Man bust with "stolen" VW parts

Uitenhage police have arrested a 22-year-old man for being in possession of suspected stolen VW car parts.

Police said the man was arrested in Durban Road on Friday night.

Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, said in a statement that police were following up on valuable information in making the bust.

She said the components were valued at around R250 000.

The man will appear in court on Monday.

Algoa FM News has learnt that the man works for one of VWSA's component suppliers in Uitenhage.
