Legendary actress Michelle Botes dies- aged 63

The legendary South African Actress known for her role as Cherel de Villiers in Isidingo has died.

Michelle Botes, 63, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday morning.

The news was confirmed by Afrikaans Magazine Bruis, who interviewed her a few weeks ago.

Botes made her screen debut in 1976 but will be remembered for her roles in "Die Swart Kat", Arende, Konings, Torings, Isidingo and her last role in Binnelanders.
