The Hawks in the Eastern Cape have confirmed that the kidnapped Gqeberha schoolteacher has been reunited with her family.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Avele Fumba said the 45-year-old woman was returned on Wednesday evening.
"Due to sufficient pressure exerted by the multidisciplinary team, including the task team of the Hawks, we can confirm that the victim was safely reunited with her family last night."
"The matter remains under investigation and we urge anyone with information that could help to accelerate our investigation to come forward," he said.
The woman's kidnapping from the Happydale Special School in Algoa Park on Monday sent shockwaves through the community.
She was snatched by at least three men moments after she arrived at school in her Toyota Fortuner.
Algoa FM understands that a ransom demand was paid for her safe return.
