Husband and wife killed in Bay family tragedy

A 48-year-old security company employee from Gqeberha shot and killed his 39-year-old wife before turning the gun on himself.

Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, said the shooting occurred in Mbilini Street in New Brighton on Wednesday.

He said the man then turned the gun on himself.

Police have opened two case dockets for murder and an inquest in relation to the incident.

The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
