The Gqeberha accountant who stole more than R50 million from two Spar franchises will have to wait a while longer to hear his fate.
This comes after sentencing procedures were postponed in the city's commercial crimes court on Thursday morning.
Jonathan Blow, 52, stole more than R52 million from Sundridge Spar and the Despatch Superspar between September 2020 and March last year.
He pleaded guilty to the offences in September.
Blow's attorney, Anlen Jarman told the court that Legal Aid South Africa was in the process of obtaining the services of a psychologist to draft a report in respect of the accused.
It is understood that the report, which will be presented during his sentence proceedings, pertains to his gambling addiction.
Jarman also informed the court that lately, her client's Schedule 5 medication was not being administered regularly.
"Because it is schedule 5 medication, it has to be administered at the hospital section at St. Albans. He is not allowed to have it on his person."
She asked that a previous court order, stating that Blow is to receive his medication regularly, be reiterated.
Magistrate Vusiwe Mnyani ordered that Blow be sent back to prison with a copy of the order.
The case was remanded to 7 December.
