Two suspects are expected to appear in the Gqeberha Magistrates court this morning following a hijacking incident at a petrol station in Walker Drive.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says an e-hailing driver received a request for pick up at the filling station on Thursday night.
She says that on arrival, the two suspects got into the car and proceeded to Glenroy Drive when another VW Polo stopped close by.
Janse van Rensburg says the occupants of the vehicle got out and allegedly pretended to be from neighbourhood watch before forcing the e-hail driver into their VW while the other two stole his car.
She says that while travelling on Walker Drive, the victim got into a scuffle with the suspects and managed to pull up the handbrake of the car, causing it to overturn.
Private security companies were quick on the scene where the accused were pointed out.
The e-hailer's stolen vehicle was later recovered in Lorraine by the Gqeberha K9 unit.
