Greater cooperation between the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber and Cooperative Governance Minister Pravin Gordhan was cemented at a meeting held at the Chamber's office in Greenacres on Monday
Gordhan, along with his advisor Mandla Nkomfe, and Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Deputy Mayor Bicks Ndoni met with a large representation of the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber's board and Business Chamber CEO Kevin Hustler.
Chamber CEO Kevin Hustler says the main points on the table were the critical back to basics issues they've been dealing with on the Metro with regards to the Nooitgedacht pipeline, water infrastructure in the city, electricity issues and road infrastructure that's been crumbling in certain areas.
"We did also share a little bit regarding business vision in 2030 that we have developed with the Metro and the Business School from NMMU. We asked and pleaded with the minister that he reinforces our sentiments that were conveyed to the executive mayor on a unified vision for the city" he said.
