The search for a missing man who was allegedly abducted in Pretoria ended in tragedy when his body was discovered in the Mpumalanga province.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala says the body of 31-year-old Wayne Henderson was discovered by a farm worker on the R50 about 5 km from Standerton.
He says Henderson was stabbed in the head and his throat was slit before his body was covered in a duvet.
Brigadier Mohlala says Henderson's body was found near the vehicle he had driven, a grey Renault Sandero.
He says blood was also found in the boot of the car.
Police in Standerton and Hercules in Pretoria are now trying their best to connect the dots in this murder investigation.
Henderson was identified by a family member about four hours after his body was discovered.
Algoa FM News requested more information from Brigadier Mohlala and the article will be updated once he has responded.
