Western Cape police have identified a fourth suspect in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Hartenbos businessman, Desmond Share.
Spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said Da Gamaskop police are seeking the assistance of the public to trace Zimbabwean national Danzel ‘Talent’ Alkuleti.
Police are still searching for two other suspects, Shown Gondo (31) and Akim Gondo (25).
The one suspect in custody so far following the August incident is 30-year-old Shadreck Mhetu, who faces charges of kidnapping and murder.
He is expected to appear in the Mossell Bay Magistrates’ Court on 20 December for a formal bail application.
Police said earlier that 53-year-old Share left Hartenbos for Herbertsdale on 1 August, and was reported missing by his family after he did not return home.
His body was found in bushes between Herbertsdale and Albertinia on Saturday, 5 August while his stolen Ford Ranger bakkie was recovered at Ficksburg near the Lesotho border three days later.
Spies said the trio is still at large and the investigation officer, Warrant Officer Arleen Stokes, is requesting anyone with information that could lead to their arrest, should contact Da Gamaskop police.
He says the investigation is at an advanced stage.
