Police in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating cases of culpable homicide, following four fatal road accidents on Buffelsfontein Road, the N2 highway, and Kwanobuhle at the weekend.
Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says in the first accident on Friday evening at the corner of 11th Avenue and Buffelsfontein Road in Walmer, a 28-year-old man was seriously injured and he died in hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.
She says on Saturday evening, police in Kwanobuhle at Kariega found the body of a 30-year-old man who was trapped under a blue VW Golf in Sigila Street.
No further information was available.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says earlier on Saturday evening, a 31-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident on the N2 near Blue Horizon Bay, but no further information was available.
She says shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, the 31-year-old driver of a grey VW Polo collided with a bridge on the N2 in Cotswold in the direction of Stanford Road.
He died at the scene.
The names of all the deceased will be released as soon as an official identification has been made.
