The death toll from the George building collapse has now risen to five.
In an update a short while ago, the Municipality said 25 patients were removed from the rubble of the collapsed multi-story construction site, leaving 49 people still unaccounted for.
Seventy-five construction workers were on the site at the time of the collapse on Monday afternoon.
Three teams of rescue personnel are currently working on three different areas within the site of the collapsed building.
Sniffer dogs from Gift of the Givers arrived on site early on Tuesday morning as family members anxiously await signs of life.
Police have opened up an inquest docket.
The George Municipality will host a media briefing early on Tuesday morning.
