One person died and another sustained moderate injuries in an accident on the N2 between the George Airport and Glentana on Monday morning.
According to police a small truck and a vehicle collided near the Maalgate Bridge towards Mossel Bay at around 08:00.
The two people who were travelling in the truck did not need hospitalisation.
One lane had to be closed just after the Herold's Bay turn-off to Mossel Bay but had since been re-opened.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
George police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
The name of the deceased is not yet known.
