Elderly woman tied up and assaulted in Cookhouse robbery

Police in Cookhouse are searching for two suspects who brutally assaulted an elderly woman in her home on Thursday.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says two men stormed into her house at about 8.30 am while one attacked her with a blunt object.

He says they tied her up with cable ties before ransacking her home.

The suspects stole alcohol and money before fleeing the scene.
