East London police are searching for a nine-year-old girl who was abducted while walking home from the Dreamland Primary School in Buffalo Flats.
Spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa said the incident occurred on Monday at approximately 3:05 PM.
She said the little girl was with her eight-year-old brother when two men in a silver-grey Toyota Corolla approached them.
Mawisa said they grabbed the child and forced her into the car before speeding off in the direction of Greenpoint Road.
According to police the car did not have registration plates, and a case of kidnapping has been opened.
The girl is reportedly the child of a local shop owner.
No arrests have yet been made.
